Integrated Approach
to Pest Management
Panther Pest can transform your home into a pest-free haven with Integrated Pest Management (IPM)! Integrated Pest Management is a process involving common sense and sound solutions to control pests in your home. The goal is to find the best solution to a pest problem, not just the easiest.
IPM focuses on long-term prevention of pests using a 3-part strategy: Inspection, Identification, and Treatment. It is the approach behind every pest control service in Orlando, FL that we provide, with the homeowner and technician working together to focus on sealing entry points, removing sources of moisture, sealing cracks, crevices and holes around wiring, and applying chemicals only where it is needed, usually on the exterior to create a barrier.
Signs You Have Pests in Your House
Most pest problems announce themselves before you ever see the pest. Worth a call if you notice any of these:
Droppings or frass. Small dark pellets along baseboards or under sinks usually mean roaches or rodents. Material that looks like coffee grounds or fine sawdust points to termites.
Sounds in the walls or attic. Scratching or scurrying overhead, especially at dawn and dusk, is typically rats getting in along the roofline.
Discarded wings on windowsills. A pile of small wings after a swarm is one of the clearest signs of an active termite colony.
Mud tubes on the foundation. Pencil-width dirt tunnels running up exterior walls or block are how subterranean termites travel from soil to structure.
Gnaw marks and shredded material. Chewed packaging, wiring, or insulation means rodents have been nesting.
Bites or small blood spots on bedding. Bites in a line and rust-colored spots on sheets are common early signs of bed bugs.
One roach in daylight. Roaches are nocturnal, so seeing one during the day usually means the population is large enough to push them out into the open.
Seeing any of these? Contact us and we will come out and identify what you are dealing with.
FAQs
-
Quarterly is the standard for most Central Florida homes. There is no winter die-off here, so pest populations stay active year round and quarterly service keeps them suppressed rather than letting them rebuild. If you are dealing with an active infestation, we start monthly until it is under control and then step down to quarterly maintenance.
-
Yes. The products we apply dry within two to four hours, and once dry they are safe for children and pets to be around normally. We will let you know which areas to stay clear of during that window and ask you to move pet bowls and cover fish tanks before we begin. If you would rather avoid conventional products entirely, our natural pest solutions use lower toxicity products and targeted application.
-
Not for exterior treatments. Most quarterly visits are exterior only, and we can service the property while you are at work as long as we have gate access. Interior treatments do need someone home to let us in.
-
Roaches and palmetto bugs, ants, rodents, spiders, fleas, wasps, mosquitos, bed bugs, centipedes, and more. We also handle termite prevention and treatment and rodent exclusion as dedicated services.
-
It depends on the size of your home, the pest you are dealing with, and whether you want a one time treatment or a recurring plan. Recurring quarterly service works out cheaper per visit than one off callouts, and specialty work like termite treatment or rodent exclusion is quoted separately after an inspection.
